UralTone ROHS Compressor claims with it’s name both the requrements of modern electronics and bows to it’s original version, during the 1970’s designed ROSS Compressor. UralTone version is diy friendly version for this take.

Studio Fuzz is loosely based on the Tone Bender MK III Treble’n’Bass concept, which was prototype-implemented with silicon transistors in the late ’60s.

UralTone MKII is now continuing the research into the Tone Bender product family with its third version, the Mk2. It was introduced in mid-1966, immediately gaining prominent users such as Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, etc. The MN21A from the Soviet production was chosen as the transistor for the Uraltone building kit, which sat in place for circuit smoothly.

The UralTone FF Ge is perhaps an adapted version of the more well-known Fuzz pedal kit. This pictorial article builds the UralTone version implemented with MN21A transistors.

UralTone effect kits are using two different stereo jacks on input side. On this article the differences between the two options are presented and how to wire both models.

Perhaps the most well-known classic of the Fuzz pedals, the Silicon version of Fuzz Face, is now available as a construction kit with Texas Instruments NOS BC183L transistors. The circuit was introduced in 1968 to replace the NKT275 Germanium version whose temperature sensitivity caused problems during the assembly phase and operation.
