Always check before assembling that all components are of the correct value and the correct quantity has been supplied.

First, install the resistors. Ensure that each component of the correct value is placed in the correct location. Press all components firmly against the board.

Slightly bend the leads from underneath the board to keep the components in place before soldering.

Carefully solder the components to the board. Use a sufficient amount of solder. If you can see the hole around the lead, there is too little solder. The solder joint should be as smooth and symmetrical as possible.

After soldering, trim the component leads using side cutters.

Next, add the smaller capacitors. Start with the lowest profile components and work up to the tallest. This helps keep components in place against the table while soldering.

Add the largest capacitor and solder it in place.

Finally, solder the inductor onto the circuit board. Note that the inductor’s frame extensions fit into the narrow rectangular slots on the PCB.

After installing the components, solder the spade connectors. If you are soldering wires directly to the board, these connectors can be omitted.

Large components are secured to the board using either hot glue or zip ties. Two consecutive 120-150mm zip ties work perfectly.
