Marshall Valvestate amps are one of the most legendary rock and roll transistor amps ever made. Marshalls are usually quite reliable but nothing lasts forever. Potentiometers are weakest point and normally all of them needs to be changed. Valvestate speakers may also need replacement. Our recommended replacement speaker is much more reliable and better sounding compared to originals. So even if speaker still make some sound, you might want to upgrade it for better tone.
Tungsol 12ax7 (uraltone SQ tested) is great replacement tube for Valvestate amps with preamp tube.
