UralTone Giant tube amp kit - 250W.

Giant is something else than those modern light weight class-D bass amps. It is build like a tank, gives 250W tube power (no transistors or chips at all) with authentic British tube sound.

• Pre amp tubes 3x 12AX7 / ECC83 and 1x 12AU7 / ECC81, power tubes 6x EL34 (or 6CA7, KT77, E34L)

• All power tubes have their bias trimmer: you can even replace just one tube if others are still good.

• Output power about 250W

• Finnish-made steel chassis with all holes drilled for easy construction. 

• Components are mounted on reliable turret boards, as they should on amps like this.

How difficult is it to build this kit?

Beginners will be able to build this amp. You do not have to know anything about the theory of electricity. But you have to be very careful, follow instructions closely and respect the power of high voltages.

You need to know how to solder (easy) and use basic tools (screwdrivers etc.). 

It takes 2-4 working days to build the kit from start to finish.

What if I need help?

We are here to help you! We give you as much customer support as you need via email. We cannot support kits over the phone or at our physical store.

If you still cannot get the amp to work after our support, we can fix it for you at our service. The cost is 70€ / h (2023 price).

What tools do I need?

You need a soldering station (the cheapest good ones start from under 100€), a multimeter (a basic one will work just fine), pliers, screwdrivers, etc.

What is included?

The kit includes all the parts needed to build the amp. The kit does not include a wooden box, speaker cable, and speakers.

Why should I build Giant?

Price. You must pay much more to buy this kind of amp from a music store. Most stores do not even sell this kind of product, because these are so expensive to produce... The most cost-intensive part of amps is handwork; with kits, it's free. You pay for the parts.

Fun.  Build an amp, as this gives so much joy and pleasure. It is hard to describe the feeling when you first power up the amp you built with your own hands.

Repairability. When you have built the amp by yourself, you usually know how to repair it. And eventually, you will learn how to repair other amps as well...
