The JTM45 is synonymous with the raw British blues / rock sound of the 1960s and 1970s. One of the best Marshall vintage circuits ever made. Extremely easy to use and smoothly transitions into overdrive. The power level is still reasonable, so you can actually crank this up properly - as long as you are not playing in the bedroom.

Cabinets

We sell Mojotone (USA) JTM cabinets that are truly top-notch. We also sell much more affordable Far Eastern cabinets that are reasonably good. The only issue is that TAD KT66 tubes are too tall for them. JJ KT66 fits, and of course EL34 / 6L6 / 5881 tubes as well. So if you want to use these cabinets, please ask beforehand.

How long does it take to build the kit?

An experienced builder can assemble the kit in one day, while a beginner may need 2–3 days.

Who is this kit suitable for?

Anyone who appreciates great guitar tones and enjoys working with their hands. Also for those who want boutique-quality gear but whose budget does not stretch to premium boutique amplifiers. In boutique amplifiers, you pay for design, marketing (brand), assembly (if made in Western countries), etc. Many of these costs are eliminated with DIY kits.

What kind of tools do you need to build this kit?

Basic tools are enough, but especially beginners should invest in reasonably good quality tools.

Especially the soldering station and solder must be good enough to ensure quality solder joints. Always buy your soldering station from a proper electronics store that can help you choose the right one for this kind of work.
