UralTone Sr 30w tube amp kit

The UralTone Sr is a tube amp that has some unique features. It has a switchable Fuzz / OD channel which is completely unique. You can get a really pushed tweed amp sound from the preamp so power-tube-distortion-kind-of-fuzz -sound can be enjoyed also with moderate sound levels. 

The UralTone Sr has a 6 position tone switch that can also be found in its little brother, the UralTone Jr. Another feature that cannot be found in other amps.

The amp also has adjustable output power (0-30w); so many kinds of distortion / fuzz / OD -sounds are possible with all sounds levels.

Cleans are warm and tasty. Again, more tweed-like with a one knob tone stack. Great for blues / garage / rock and roll, Jazz... Not so great for hi-fi-style, sterile guitar sounds. 

With this amp, you probably will not need any drive pedals.

Degree of difficulty

Can be built by beginners. The most important point is to be careful, have enough coffee or tea, and read the instructions very carefully.

Circuit

The circuit is traditional, but still far from the standard Fender / Marshall / Vox style amps. The amplifying part is done 100% with tubes: the preamp has one 12AX7, one 12AU7 and a 6SN7. The output is driven by a pair of 6L6GCs. All components are high quality from well known suppliers.

Channel swithching is done by high quality relays.
