Each kit contains needed speaker elements, parts for cross over and refles tubes. Price is per one speaker.
Speaker size
Choose a kit with 8", 10" or 12" co-axial speaker. Designer of the kit prefers the 12" speaker, but for example smaller sized box other options are fine as well. 12" model is most popular out of all. This model is also upgradeable with JBL tweeter.
JBL for 12" version
Original design used APT-50 driver, which gives excellent sound quality for invested price. Designer of the speaker kit Samu Saurama has tested and designed the cross over for far better JBL Selenium tweeter. It has much better sound quality and Samu recommeds this upgrade for all. Beta 12CX with JBL Selenium is top notch. It's hard to beat combo for it's price. For original kit builders it's possible to ugrade the kit with JBL. see here.
Damping material and cabinetnclosure and damping material
The cabinet need to be filled with damping material. We favor Finnish Ewonawool, which is nice to handle and won't irritate. Its made from recucled materials.
For quick and dirty builders, we offer cheap monitor / PA style cabinet which works surpricingly well for really low price.
