Nitrocellulose Lacquer Spray 500ml - Clear Coat Satin Finish (Final Layer)
Nitrocellulose lacquer has been used on guitars since the fifties and sixties due to its excellent properties. Forming an extremely thin layer, it allows the wood to resonate freely. The lacquer surface can easily be patched and polished to a beautiful shine. Nitro lacquer ages beautifully (cracking, yellowing...)!
Use this aerosol only in well-ventilated, dry areas where the temperature is at least 15'C. Aerosols produce a lot of fine dust, remove or cover all items that do not need lacquer. Always wear protective clothing/gloves/glasses! This really needs to be followed, as nitro lacquer is very dangerous if inhaled!
Shake the spray can well (upside down) for a few minutes. Test the lacquer on a small piece of wood, metal, etc. Ensure that the area to be painted is clean, dust-free, grease-free, etc.
Hold the spray can upright about 20 cm away from the area to be painted. Move the can slowly from side to side and start spraying, keeping the distance consistent. Release and press again when changing directions. Apply a thin layer of lacquer and wait 10 minutes before spraying the next coat. The lacquer can take a few days to reach full hardness.
After using the aerosol, hold the can upside down and spray until only gas comes out of the nozzle.
