UT Overdrive Special Tube Amp diy kit

The UT Overdrive Special is a clone of Dumble ODS fitted to Princeton chassis. The power amp has been scaled down slightly from the original, using a pair of 6V6 tubes. Plenty of power to play with band but not too much to open the amp to creamy power stage compression.

The Fender chassis brings this ODS configuration back to its early days when Dumble built amplifiers on the Deluxe Reverb chassis.

Where can we ship?

We can ship to any country but we only have 230VAC power transformers. So we do not have US 120VAC models. But we can ship without power transformer and you can buy one locally. Any Deluxe reverb or Tweed Deluxe transformer will work and fit to chassis.

What does the UralTone ODS kit include?

The price includes all the necessary parts for building the amplifier unit. It does not include the speaker, wooden housing (combo or head cabinet), or footswitch. These can be purchased separately. All Princeton reverb cabinets can be used with our ODS amp chassis!

Who is the kit suited for?

For everyone interested in DIY tube amplifiers or owning super high-quality boutique amps.

It's important to allocate sufficient time to concentrate and settle into the building process. A cup of coffee or tea helps. The Overdrive Special is a grateful assembly project because there is plenty of working space inside the chassis, although there is a bit more wiring than usual. Nevertheless, the kit is also suited for beginners.

How quickly can the Overdrive Special be assembled?

An experienced builder can build the amplifier in a day or two. It takes a bit more time for hobbyists.

How can I get support if I have questions that I can't find answers to?

The instructions are comprehensive, but occasionally, the builder may need additional support. Unlimited technical support via email is always included in the price.

You will affordably get the next 100 years of lasting, great-sounding boutique amplifiers. Only a fraction of the cost of the original or even ready-made clones.

An ODS tube amp assembled according to the instructions from the kit represents the most expensive boutique amps and cannot be compared to mass production products, which do not represent, sound-wise, the original masterpiece, Dumble ODS.
